A lot of driving for a little cycling, at least for me. One thing I did learn was how important weight distribution is to handling on the Giant Revolt X. I had to carry an extra four liters of water and loaded it on the top of my rear rack. It was ok on the road, but on the gravel it was wobbly and not confidence inspiring. When I got home I put a frame bag on and moved the water, fuel, and everything else heavy into the frame bag. The only stuff in the rear was my tent, sleep kit, and clothes. This vastly improved the handling. The moral of the story is there has to be some compromise for a 22 pound bike. Still on the fence about needing a more burly frame for the GDMBR.
